New TR Agency is operational on the Turkish -Syrian border. Turkey started a planned military operation in the Northeast of Syria on Wednesday, launching airstrikes and artillery fire across the border just days after the Trump administration announced the pulling of US troops back from the area.

After nearly 30 years in power, Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir has been ousted and arrested, the defence minister says.
Speaking on state TV, Awad Ibn Ouf said the army had decided to oversee a two-year transitional period followed by elections.
He also said a three-month state of emergency was being put in place.
Protests against Mr Bashir, who has governed Sudan since 1989, have been under way for several months.
Meanwhile, the main group that has been organising the demonstrations called for them to continue on Thursday, despite the military intervention.

French President Emmanuel Macron said he has invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin for talks at the Bregancon fort off the country’s Mediterranean coast.
Macron, speaking on July 27 as he began his summer vacation at the medieval fort near the village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, said he will meet with Putin on August 19, days ahead of hosting a G7 summit.

20th Knesset officially dissolves, sets elections for April 9, 2019. Three-and-a-half years after its first sitting following the 2015 elections, the 20th Knesset came to end on Wednesday as lawmakers voted to dissolve parliament and set new elections for April 9.
A day after government ministers approved pushing ahead with the move, the Knesset was host to a frantic series of committee debates and votes on the bill to dissolve parliament and officially start the campaign for the 2019 election.

Member’s states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will convene in Turkey on
22nd March to discuss terror attacks in New Zealand.
Set for an OIC executive committee meeting on March 22, Turkey invited all the member states to the meeting to address twin terror attacks on New Zealand mosques last Friday.
So far, 20 member states have confirmed their attendance to the meeting.
Among the participants will be Iran, Libya, Indonesia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Qatar and Somali, which will attend the meeting at the level of foreign ministers.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit Kuwait to hold the third round of strategic dialogue between the two countries.
Pompeo visited several Arab capitals in January, including in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in part to reassure allies after President Donald Trump said he would start withdrawing U.S. troops from Syria.
