At least two people were killed and 30 others injured due to Russian airstrikes in Ukraine, the deputy head of the country's presidential office said on Monday.
“A massive missile attack on Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih district (in the Dnipropetrovsk region). A shopping center, high-rise buildings and private houses - the enemy hit civilian objects. Unfortunately, there is one dead woman. One is wounded,” Oleksiy Kuleba said in a statement on Telegram.
Kuleba said that the situation in Kryvyi Rih is complicated due to bad weather in the region, with reports of numerous disruptions in the region's power grids which resulted in frequent power outages and the suspension of electric transport services.
He also noted that efforts are underway to restore normalcy.
“In the city of Novomoskovsk … There are 24 victims. Five of them are children. Private and apartment buildings were damaged. All people are given the help they need. Emergency services and authorities are working,” he said, referring to the people injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Kuleba also said that the city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine experienced shelling that damaged civilian infrastructure and injured two people.
Two more people were also rescued from the city of Zmiiv in the Kharkiv region, he added.
Kuleba said that rockets struck residential areas in the Zaporizhzhia region, due to which four people have sustained injuries and are receiving necessary medical assistance.
