France has announced its candidates for the April 2022 presidential elections.
With the announcement of the candidates, the French public opinion has focused on the possible distribution of votes in the presidential election set to be held on April 10, 2022.
Although President Emmanuel Macron has not made any announcement so far, it is expected that he will be a candidate in the election.
The strongest candidates are Valerie Pecresse -- the president of the Ile-de-France region and the center-right The Republicans party's candidate -- Marine Le Pen, the leader of the far-right National Rally, a far-right journalist and author Eric Zemmour, head of the Green Party and a member of the European Parliament Yannick Jadot, leader of the Unbowed France Jean-Luc Melenchon, and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo -- the candidate of the center-left Socialist Party.
According to the poll conducted on Tuesday, Macron is expected to qualify for the second round with 23% of the votes and Pecresse with 20%.
Le Pen is expected to receive 15%, Zemmour 14%, Melenchon 8%, Jadot 7%, and Hidalgo 3%.
According to the poll, Pecresse is expected to receive 52% of the votes and Macron 48% of the votes in the second round.
